Movin' On Up

Well, if you haven’t noticed, my posting has been a bit irregular the last couple weeks. That’s because I’m in the middle of moving! Eating well during a move is always a challenge. I haven’t been perfect by any means, but I’ve been trying. Look at this swiss chard I picked from my GARDEN a few days ago!

After I picked it, I kept it in a bowl of water for a couple days while I had a chance to eat it all. It stayed pretty fresh this way. At night before bed, I cut the tips off and changed the water. It lasted like this for about three days.


We’ve been eating lots of summer rolls for our summer move. This is a very exciting move for me, and I’ll tell you why. We are moving into an artist loft space. My new place has lots of amenities that are PERFECT for me. It’s amazing how well things are starting to unfold in a more positive direction.


There is a catering/event space in my building that all residents are allowed to use. You can’t see it in this picture, but there is a really nice fireplace.

This is the kitchen that goes with the event space. Umm…did I mention that I’m starting a catering business?! I almost had to pinch myself. The kitchen in my apartment is amazing too!! But I can’t show you the picture yet because it’s kind of in the state of moving/disaster area.

I can show you the latest addition to my kitchen though…my new commercial dehydrator!!

dehydratorLook! It has fancy blinky lights. 🙂 Also, it has a huge capacity. It takes about twice as long as the EXCALIBUR, but it has about 4 times the capacity. Needless to say, I have lots more good news to come. And a little bad news. Some medical mishaps. But I needed something to balance out the roll I’m on. Otherwise, it might start to get annoying. 🙂
